SUNYAC QUARTERFINALS

K.O. had 9 kills (.273%)
and two aces in
Friday's SUNYAC semifinal
victory
The postseason began Friday night with a SUNYAC quarterfinal match against Potsdam.  Potsdam defeated Oneonta in a play-in game earlier in the afternoon for the right to advance.  We played Potsdam earlier in the season and won 3-0 but knew this was a different situation all together.  Anything can happen in a lose-and-go-home scenario and Potsdam is an athletic team with a lot of offense if you let them get comfortable.

The girls most definitely did not let Potsdam get comfortable in a 3-0 (25-15, 26-24, 25-18) sweep of the Bears.  The Devils served up a season high 17 aces.  Meredith hit .667% with 7 kills and provided 2 block assists.  Lindsey led the offense with 10 kills.

The second set was tight from start to finish with neither team gaining more than a four point lead.  Kelly managed the end of the set beautifully and calmly put us up 2-0 instead of going into the third set tied at 1.

Overall I was really impressed with our composure in a post-season match.  We were focused and it showed in our performance.  On to the semifinals against Cortland.
