Senior Day!

Olson is 7th all-time with 1,045 kills
This past Saturday we celebrated Senior Day for our lone senior of 2012, Lindsey Olson as she played in her final two home matches against Ithaca and Hiram. As always, Lindsey brought maximal effort and intensity to both matches, the type of attitute we cherish in our program.

Our first match was a victory against Ithaca in four sets (26-24, 21-25, 25-21, 25-21). Paulina had 16 kills, Lindsey had 12, while Jess and KO each had seven. Hokaj finished the match with 20 digs and Kelly spread the ball around for 35 assists. The second match we faced a very good Hiram squad, and lost the match in three sets, (16-25, 20-25, 19-25). Lindsey was again a leader on offense with 13 kills, and Kelly had 29 assists.

Lindsey, a first team All-SUNYAC member in 2011, will leave the program 7th in career kills (1,045), 5th in attempts and 8th in digs (829).  Her 394 kills in 2011 is the third highest single season total in the program's history.  What makes Linds so special is that she comes to work each and every day and possesses an unwavering toughness.  Lindsey never complained about the physical toll or the stress of balancing academics and volleyball.  She is simply committed and loyal.  THANK YOU Lindsey.  We are all proud of you.
