Playing a team three times in the first two weeks of the season isn't ideal but it turned out to be a perfect representation of our improvement over the first few weeks of the season.  The first match of the year against Naz was an 0-3 loss with the last set going 37-39.  The second was a five set loss (13-15) and the third match, last night's home opener, we defeated Nazareth 25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 25-12.

Kelly had a very strong match running the offense and also was strong behind the service line.  She finished with 29 assists, 5 aces, and 11 digs.  Paulina and K.O. each had 9 kills.  K.O. also had 4 aces and 9 digs. Hannah did a great job filling in for Jess in the middle.  She finished with 6 kills and 3 blocks.  Hokaj had 14 digs and finished off Naz with 6 service aces in the deciding set.  Lo and Lindsey chipped in 10 and 12 digs respectively.  Overall the team finished with a season match-high 19 service aces.

Our next four matches will be at the Hilbert Tournament this weekend as we prepare for SUNYAC Pool Play the following weekend.
