Paulina's Summer: Pugs, Ice Cream, and One Tree Hill

So yesterday Ryan texted me and asked me if I was going to write something for our blog this summer, I had already planned on writing something but was waiting for my day camp job to start so I had something interesting to write about.  (My summer has not really been very exciting so far)  Then Ryan told me to write about what excites me, he suggested One Tree Hill.  Then he really got me thinking as I sat on my couch with my dog watching some Netflix.

Three things that I am ALWAYS excited to talk about with people are One Tree Hill, my dog, and ice cream, so why not talk about it with all of you!

One Tree Hill:

I’m just going to start off with saying it’s the best show ever.  I always seem to get made fun of for my movie choices or tv show choices, but I somehow get everyone hooked on One Tree Hill once they start it.  So why do I think it is so great?  In some ways to me One Tree Hill is realistic for teenagers in high school, unlike Gossip Girl, which is very unrealistic and just makes me jealous.  The reason I think this is because there are all different types of people in this show, and they live lives in normal neighborhoods and are all raised differently.  The show presents topics such as bullying, relationship issues, medical crises, family problems, and high school drama.  Every episode grabs your attention with something knew, not every situation is relatable, but it could make you think that this stuff does really happen in other peoples lives.  Peyton and Lucas.  I am all about sappy love story stuff, and the roles of Peyton and Lucas just melts my heart.  Peyton is a vulnerable girl who sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of her friends, she likes completely different things and has a “depressive” attitude, while Lucas is a shy boy who has the most positive attitude and thinks deeply about a lot of things.  Lucas instantly falls in love with Peyton and looks past all her flaws.  Throughout the seasons their friendship and love grows stronger, and this cheesy romance just made me love the show even more. My Favorite Episode.  My all time favorite episode is when Lucas finally realizes he cannot live without Peyton after his championship basketball game.  They kiss under falling confetti and are just so happy, and then something bad happens after the game. (but you’ll have to watch to find out)

My Dog:

I have a pug shiatsu named Misty, and she is my best friend.  I constantly tell myself and pretty much everyone that Misty is going to live forever, but this Fathers Day I came to realization that Misty is actually getting very old.  During dinner that night Misty had a seizure and it was terrifying.  This was one of the scariest moments for me because I cannot imagine a day without her.  At school I am constantly getting snapchats of her from my mom, when I am home we take selfies together, and she is just the perfect cuddler.  Oh and how can I forget she is SO cute.  There is really no way to express how much I love her.  You would understand if you were to talk to me in person and see how my face lights up whenever she is brought up in conversation.  She’s just so perfect I never understand why people make fun of her.  I mean they say because she’s ugly, but I know that whenever someone meets her they instantly fall in love with her.

Ice Cream:

This is just my unhealthy addiction.  It is honestly a little sad how excited I get about ice cream.  Going out to get ice cream for me is like a little kid going to a toy store.  There are just so many amazing things like, sprinkles, cookie dough, peanut butter, millions of flavors.  You can change what you get every time, and for me ice cream never tastes bad.  I mean I’m kind of a professional when it comes to ice cream.  My all time favorite ice cream however will always be chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and bananas if they are available.  My freshman year I did a 21 day challenge with Ryan and gave up ice cream, and it was pretty difficult, even though Cranston ice cream is nothing special.

Those are just some of the little things I get excited about.  Others include smiles when you walk by people, reading books and talking about them with others, going to bed in the same room as Lauren Hokaj, and jamming to Twerk it radio.  Hope you all enjoyed some random facts about me J
