Jane comes to us from Victor High School |
"Jane is a fun and positive individual. She brings a lot of quickness and agility to the net. Jane can hit different sets to many zones and doesn’t make a lot of mental errors. She also possesses a knack for blocking that one can’t teach." ~ Coach Braun
Why did you choose Fredonia?
I chose Fredonia because I really enjoyed my visit. It was a good
distance from home, a nice size, and I liked the variety of classes offered.
When I walked on campus it felt like it was meant to be my future home.
If I didn’t know you
I’d say that you’re a very outgoing person… that you’ve perhaps starred in a
few musicals in high school. Is this in any way accurate?
I am pretty outgoing. I felt more comfortable being outgoing
and being myself as I got older. However, I’m not musical in any way... I can’t
sing OR dance. I tried to do ballet once but the music would always put me to
sleep.
In a paper that you wrote for a class in high school you said that your idea of perfection is being with your volleyball team. Do you hope to find
the same thing in college and do you think you will?
Yes. On our club team (Xtreme), we were very close. I would really
like to have that in college. When I came to Fredonia for my visit I felt those girls
were going to be my best friends. I’m relying on them to guide me because I’m not going
to know what I’m doing at all. I’m really nervous about everything changing, but I
feel like I’m going to be able to fall back on them.
Volleyball wise I’m a middle and I’m a strong blocker… it's the best feeling to get a great block. I like to keep things light and happy and not super serious. I work
hard in most regards, and I try to pick up my teammates. I don’t
want people to be panicking or focusing on losing, just focusing on next point.
Finally, give us your favorite character.
Jane couldn't find a good enough picture of Anna to use so she sent this really cute picture of Olaf. |
