I am so honored that I have a chance to share with everyone my experiences after my time at Fredonia. Life after college took me a little time to adjust. After graduating from Fredonia I thought I wanted to pursue a career in nursing. I realized I love helping people after I did my internship at Brooks Memorial Hospital my senior year. This past fall I realized that nursing was really not what I wanted to do but knew I still wanted to have a career in the health industry. I stumbled upon on an amazing opportunity that helped me realize what my passion was. This February I got a job at Buffalo Cardiology and Pulmonary in the fitness center. I work at one of the only medical fitness centers in the area. We help people lose weight, teach them how to exercise, eat healthy and maintain a heart healthy lifestyle. I currently work as a health and wellness coach.
While I was at Fredonia I
trained with the wonderful Ryan Maloney.
Every summer we would work together to get ready for that coming volleyball season. It was honestly my favorite time of year because volleyball was such a big part of my life. Ryan was always such an inspiration; he is so knowledgeable and passionate about fitness and nutrition. Looking back at it he really sparked my interest in exercise. Health and fitness has always been a big part of my life as an athlete. Training hard helped me be successful on and off the court. I am a leader to my clients in helping them achieve weight loss, getting off prescription medication, having more energy and so much more. In the future I plan to help my dad coach the JV volleyball team at St. Mary’s High School and apply to Canisius College for graduate school in Human health and performance. I love what I do and I look forward to what the future has in store for me.
